Introduction

In today's class, we'll be talking about an exciting device called Bigfoot. Shaped like a giant foot, it's a fun and unique way for kids to move around and engage their muscles. Children can improve their hand and foot coordination, and their balance.

Activity

Intro 

To start off, you should introduce the Bigfoot and demonstrate how to use it. It's essential to remind the children to pull the rope tightly when using the device, so they don't get hurt. We also need to ensure that they don't let go of the handle while using Bigfoot. Then, we'll move on to the individual activities.


Recommended scripts. 

"Today we have this. What is this?"

"Is this my hat? Umbrella? My ear? No. We call this a Big-foot!"

"There is something attached to the foot."

"String and then a handle!"

"Put your foot through the string and hold the handle and walk forward like this!"

It is always good for children to ask questions and induce answers.

Children's concentration and participation in classes increase through questions and answers.



Activities

A. Run around and balance.

Our first activity is 'Run around and balance.'

It's an engaging way for kids to develop their balance and coordination skills. 

We can make it even more fun by pretending that the floor is lava and asking the children to balance well on the Bigfoot.

Recommended scripts. 

"Run around and keep your balance on one foot!"

"The floor is lava so do not touch the ground!"

"I will try to push you off the Big-foot. We’re going to

High-five each other!"


precautions

Make sure that the children don't bump into each other by setting appropriate starting intervals.



B. Walk past the Lava!

Next up is 'Walk past the Lava!' This activity challenges the children to walk on Bigfoot while navigating a course. We can create a more challenging course using additional equipment. After setting up the course, we'll explain and demonstrate how to complete it so that the children can understand the activity well.


Recommended scripts. 

"Walk and balance on the Giant foot."

"Can you drop your legs on the floor?"

"No, because the floor is Lava!"

"If you step on the floor, you are going to melt."

"Hop, hop,hop and run through the cones."


C. Use One Big foot!

The third activity is 'Use One Big Foot.' We'll demonstrate how to wear the Bigfoot and hold onto the handle tightly to maintain balance. The children will have a chance to wear the Bigfoot themselves and walk along a designated line with three points. At the middle point, they can high-five using the Bigfoot and then return to their starting position.


Recommended scripts. 

"Put your foot through the string."

"Hold the handle and pull the string."

"Walk and walk to the middle and lift up your leg and high-five your friend!"


precautions 

It's crucial to remind the children to pull the rope tightly and hold onto the handle while using the Bigfoot to prevent falls and injuries.


C. Use One Big foot!

The last activity is 'Use Two Big Feet.' In this activity, children wear Bigfoot on both feet and take turns walking towards each other, giving a friendly "hip bump" in the middle, and then returning to their starting position. We'll guide the children to make sure they don't let go of the handle, rush, or jump while wearing the Bigfoot.
